About the Opportunity

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in any area of Computer Science. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct innovative and independent research in Computer Science, maintain a competitive and externally funded research program, and contribute to the enrichment of both undergraduate and graduate programs in the department.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science, demonstrate excellence in teaching, and participate in service and leadership within the academic community.
  • Provide evidence of excellence in research, teaching, and service, and contribute to the promotion of a respectful and collegial learning and working environment.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in Computer Science or a related area, with a clearly demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching.
  • Established international reputation, with a strong track record of publications in top-ranked and field-relevant journals, and a demonstrated ability to sustain and lead innovative and independent research.
  • Strong teaching accomplishments, a teaching dossier, and strong letters of reference that demonstrate excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
