Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Highway Design Engineer to join our team at Parsons Oman. As a Senior Highway Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex road and highway systems, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop complex road and highway systems, including geometric design and traffic engineering layouts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure coordinated design systems.
- Develop and implement design solutions that meet client requirements and company standards.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in highway design and traffic engineering.
Requirements:
- 2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent).
- 6+ years of relevant experience in highway design and traffic engineering.
- Proficiency in Civil 3D and/or Microstation, InRoads/OpenRoads.
- Strong understanding of relevant standards and codes, including geometric design and traffic engineering principles.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
