The RoleYou will contribute to the design and implementation of a high-performance GPU kernel generator used in various machine learning libraries and frameworks. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing the performance of GPU kernels and providing insights on optimization paths.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement AMD's GPU kernel generator for high-performance machine learning libraries and frameworks.
- Analyze GPU kernel performance and provide optimization insights.
- Develop optimization and analysis passes on graph representations of GPU kernels.
- Collaborate with technical experts across AMD and with partners and customers to improve ROCm applications, libraries, and tools.
- Deliver high-quality code and documentation following best practices for open-source software development.
- Apply software engineering methodologies to ensure robust, maintainable code.
- Hands-on experience writing and optimizing GPU code.
- Strong background developing applications and libraries in modern C++.
- Understanding of compiler technology fundamentals.
- Experience with best practices in software development.
- Experience with low-level optimization techniques.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
