Job Title: Shipping Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Supervisor to join our team at MD Food Transporting. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure efficient shipping processes.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on shipping performance and trends.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of computer equipment and machinery used in the shipping department.
  • Resolve work problems and provide technical advice to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Recruit and hire staff as needed to support the shipping department.
  • Arrange training for staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
  • Conduct performance reviews to evaluate staff performance and provide feedback for improvement.
  • Coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support shipping operations.
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics to ensure the smooth operation of the shipping department.
