Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Coordinator to join our team at Thompson Rivers University. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing local representation, facilitating programming, and delivering services to the communities of Barriere, Chase, Clearwater, Lillooet, Williams Lake, and Kamloops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct needs assessments and maintain relationships with local stakeholders to identify program requirements and demands.
  • Develop partnerships with community organizations, industry, and government agencies to provide relevant training.
  • Prepare proposals, schedules, and financial records for courses and programs.
  • Recruit instructors, schedule courses, and ensure layout and resources are in place.
  • Advertise courses and programs through various channels, including social media and local newspapers.
Requirements
  • Two years of post-secondary education in Business or Education.
  • Provincial Instructor's Diploma preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and communication skills.
  • Significant coordination experience and project management skills.
  • Culturally sensitive and inclusive.
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License.
