Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Community Coordinator to join our team at Thompson Rivers University. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing educational and training services to the communities of Barriere, Chase, Clearwater, Lillooet, Williams Lake, and Kamloops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct needs assessments and maintain relationships with local educators, Indigenous groups, businesses, and government agencies to identify program and course requirements.
  • Develop partnerships with community organizations, industry, and government agencies to provide relevant training.
  • Develop proposals, schedules courses, and maintains financial records.
  • Prepare contracts for instructional staff and evaluates their performance.
  • Follow up on registration, class lists, and other required resources.
  • Assist in marketing and advertising efforts, including researching trends and community interests.
Requirements
  • Two years of post-secondary education in Business or Education.
  • Provincial Instructor's Diploma preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and communication skills.
  • Significant coordination experience and project management skills.
  • Culturally sensitive and inclusive.
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License.
