As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will participate in the realization of diversified and multidisciplinary projects for commercial, institutional, public, and industrial buildings, both for new constructions and renovations.

Your Daily Work at Stantec

Within our Quebec team, you will collaborate with the project team to participate in the design and realization of electrical distribution systems, lighting, fire alarm systems, communication systems, and other related systems. You will participate in design and studies for electrical building projects in institutional, industrial, commercial, energy, transportation, and healthcare environments.

Specifically, You Will:

  • Participate in various stages of design (calculations, equipment selection, etc.) for electrical distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems in private/public projects;
  • Participate in technical studies and write documents such as calculation notes, technical estimates, and reports;
  • Assist team members in preparing engineering plans;
  • Develop low and medium voltage distribution networks;
  • Perform AutoCAD and BIM – REVIT modeling and analysis;
  • Conduct existing installation surveys and construction site surveillance.

Requirements

  • Be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering;
  • Have an interest in building electrical systems;
  • Have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills;
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a team;
  • Have obtained the General Construction Site Health and Safety Course Certificate (ASP construction) (an asset);
  • Be fluent in French (oral and written) (an asset).
