Salary Information
- Hourly rate: $29.83
- Paid FTE: 0.89
- Bi-weekly hours: 63.76
Job Responsibilities
In accordance with the vision, purpose, and values of Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient and staff safety is a top priority. As a Health Aide, you will assist residents in maintaining optimal functioning while promoting their physical, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual well-being.
You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or designate and report to the Manager. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting residents with activities of daily living
- Maintaining records and reporting any concerns to the supervisor
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent
- Registration with the BC Care Aide registry
