Salary Information

  • Hourly rate: $29.83
  • Paid FTE: 0.89
  • Bi-weekly hours: 63.76

Job Responsibilities

In accordance with the vision, purpose, and values of Vancouver Island Health Authority, patient and staff safety is a top priority. As a Health Aide, you will assist residents in maintaining optimal functioning while promoting their physical, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual well-being.

You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or designate and report to the Manager. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Assisting residents with activities of daily living
  2. Maintaining records and reporting any concerns to the supervisor
  3. Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent
  • Registration with the BC Care Aide registry
