Job Overview

Komatsu is a leading provider of innovative solutions for the construction, mining, industrial, and forestry industries. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented General Labourer to join our Ontario distribution group and support our Shop and warehousing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in and be committed to a strong safety culture to achieve Komatsu's organizational Safety, Health, and Environmental goals.
  • Comply with Komatsu company policies and procedures.
  • Assist and support the shop and field service technicians with mechanical tasks.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in the shop, office, and outside yard.
  • Operate forklifts, basic hand tools, and powered hand tools.
  • Build strong working relationships with relevant coworkers.
  • Assist with physical inventory and general warehouse duties.
  • Process orders through a computerized inventory system.
  • Respond to on-call duties and act on potential delivery requests.
  • Coordinate freight and delivery functions when required.
  • Perform general building maintenance when required.
  • Perform general tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License and own transportation are required.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Previous experience in material handling.
  • Candidates must be detail-oriented and have a high level of accuracy.
  • Qualified candidates will have strong work ethics and mechanical ability.
  • Experience in production and manufacturing environments is an asset.
  • Previous experience with hand tools and assembly and/or fabrication is an asset.
  • Able to lift to 10kgs safely.
  • Able to demonstrate aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated, can multi-task, and manage change in responsibilities.
  • Results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team.
  • Fluent in computer literacy. Microsoft Office and ERP (SAP) systems experience is an advantage.
