We are a dynamic bakery and pastry shop seeking a skilled Baker to join our team. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of pastries, bread, and other sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Pastry Preparation: Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays.
  • Baking and Decorating: Bake mixed dough and batters, and frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Inspect kitchen and food service areas, and operate machinery.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Work Setting: Bake shop
  • Tasks: Ability to distinguish between colours, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods, tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependability, excellent oral communication, judgement, reliability, team player, patience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
