We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Superintendent to join our team at New City Contracting Ltd. - Minute Taking: Record and maintain minutes for bi-weekly engineer-driven meetings, ensuring that all decisions and actions are documented and tracked.
- Quality Control: Supervise and ensure the quality of trades' work and installations, addressing any issues or concerns that may impact the project's quality standards.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any issues with trades as they arise, ensuring that all problems are resolved promptly and efficiently.
- Trade Supervision: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of trades, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
- Subcontractor Management: Manage work coordination with subcontractors, ensuring that all subcontractors are aware of and comply with our project protocols.
- SVR and SI: Follow up on SVR and SI to ensure trade completeness and QA, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
- POs and COs: Ensure that trades complete work according to POs and COs, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality standards.
- Experience: 15+ years of experience as a Construction Site Superintendent, with a focus on large mechanical and electrical projects.
- Education: A degree or diploma in a related field, along with relevant bonding and certifications.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills, in-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations, experience in preparing and conducting post-implementation evaluations, proven ability to create realistic schedules and ensure timely project completion, demonstrated cost control measures and strong project management abilities, ability to prioritize and manage multiple conflicting demands effectively, strong delegation skills, with the ability to set expectations and monitor progress.
