Key Responsibilities
  • Cutting and Preparing Meat: Clean and prepare meats to be processed or cut to order, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Meat Preparation and Display: Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers, cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat, and wrap and package prepared meats for sale.
  • Meat Handling and Storage: Weigh meats for sale, grind meats as required, and prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products.
  • Work Environment and Physical Demands: Work in a fast-paced butchery environment, standing for extended periods, and meeting the physical demands of the role.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Butcher shop environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and ensuring the highest quality of meat products.
  • Language and Work Hours: Fluency in English, with a 30 to 40 hour work week.
