Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team at Hexagon. As a key member of our engineering community, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining tests and tools written in Python, deploying and monitoring tests in a continuous integration system, and collecting and analyzing real-world GNSS/INS data.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science, Geomatics, Electrical, or Software Engineering, and 2+ years of relevant industry experience. Strong data visualization and analysis skills, excellent communication skills, and a valid class 5 driver's license are also required.

Key Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Implementing and maintaining tests and tools written in Python
  • Deploying and monitoring tests in a continuous integration system
  • Collecting and analyzing real-world GNSS/INS data
  • Defining functional and performance requirements, test cases, test specifications, and test design
  • Executing test runs, data analysis of results, and documentation of compliance to requirements
  • Troubleshooting test failures and investigating issues
  • Collaborating with developers, systems engineers, and product managers
Requirements

The following qualifications are required:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Geomatics, Electrical, or Software Engineering
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience writing and debugging Python
  • Strong data visualization and analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid class 5 driver's license

The following qualifications are desirable:

  • Knowledge and understanding of GNSS
  • Experience with analyzing datasets using Python libraries, test automation using Jenkins, source control using Git, Polarion ALM for test management, ASPICE V&V process areas, and GNSS simulator
