Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at LK Repair Terminal. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy trucks, as well as maintaining inventory and performing routine maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
- Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
- Order parts and maintain inventory
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
- Keep maintenance reports and documentation
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
- Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
- Perform repair work on heavy trucks
- Service attachments and working tools
- Verify and repair emission control systems
Work Environment: The work environment is physically demanding, with dusty and noisy conditions. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent manual dexterity.
Requirements:
- College/CEGEP education
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Dependability and reliability
- Flexibility and ability to work in a team
Language: English
Work Term: Permanent
Hours: 32 to 35 hours per week
