Job Title: Transmission Line Engineer

Forbes Bros Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Transmission Line Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing transmission infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of complex transmission projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed designs, specifications, and cost estimates for transmission projects.
  • Coordinate with external consultants and vendors to ensure project schedules and budgets are met.
  • Manage and review design work, providing technical advice and guidance to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring project priorities and schedules are met.
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Membership in good standing with a Canadian professional association.
  • Minimum 15 years of design experience, with 10 years of directly related experience in transmission projects.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software used for structural design, including PLS Tower, PLS Cadd, and PLS Pole.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and direct civil engineering work involving high specialization.
