Building Maintenance Assistant

The Building Maintenance Assistant will report to the Facilities Manager and assist with routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on various building systems. This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in building maintenance and develop your technical skills under the mentorship of our experienced Building team.
As a team player, you'll contribute to the upkeep of our facility, ensuring a clean and safe environment for all occupants. You'll be responsible for conducting regular inspections of building systems, performing preventative maintenance tasks, and addressing minor building issues. Your stellar troubleshooting skills will shine through in diagnosing and resolving issues efficiently.
You'll also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of building repairs and maintenance, ensuring maintenance supplies and equipment are adequately stocked, and coordinating orders with suppliers. Clear communication with the Facilities Manager will be essential in keeping everyone informed of maintenance schedules and activities.

As a Building Maintenance Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to work independently, manage your time effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment. You'll be responsible for adapting to changing priorities and unexpected issues while prioritizing key tasks. A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation are ideal, but not required.
The Building Maintenance Assistant supports the Winnipeg head office and works on site five (5) days a week.
