Job Summary

The York Region District School Board is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Assistant to provide supervisory support to teaching staff during peak or critical periods of the school day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supervisory support to teaching staff during peak or critical periods of the school day
  • Assist with lunch period supervision and yard duty supervision as needed
  • Complete online health and safety training prior to start date
  • Participate in school in-service training
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or support role an asset
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
