Job Title: School Assistant

Thank you for your interest in the School Assistant position at the York Region District School Board. We are seeking a qualified individual to provide supervisory support to teaching staff during peak or critical periods of the school day.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervisory support to teaching staff during peak or critical periods of the school day
  • Assist with the supervision of students during lunchtime and other designated periods
  • Support the implementation of school policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience working with children or in a supervisory role an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
