We leverage expertise in strategic tax planning, business advisory, and compliance to deliver digitally-enabled services. In collaboration with cross-functional teams, we help clients achieve their long-term goals.

Our team is looking for a dynamic Strategic Tax Planning Manager to join us. At RSM, strong relationships are rooted in a deep understanding of what matters most to our clients. Our private client service offering features a team of strategic advisors who focus on helping business owners and high net worth families strengthen their wealth and minimize taxes.

We serve single to multi-generational private businesses operating nationally and internationally, as well as high net worth families with complex financial and tax requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise business owner clients on business and tax opportunities, including succession planning, wealth transfer planning, and tax compliance
  • Manage engagement teams focused on partnership, corporate, and trust entities
  • Anticipate client needs and collaborate with RSM colleagues to build client relationships and support growth
  • Provide leadership, training, and career mentorship to staff and supervisor level team members
  • Drive growth opportunities with existing clients and prospects
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and other professional advisors through outstanding client service

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a business-related field
  • CPA license or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in public accounting with taxation and/or private client taxation emphasis. Most recent years should include managing client engagements.
  • Proficient in entity (partnerships, corporations, trusts) and individual taxation
  • Familiar with gift and estate taxation
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Compensation Package:

The estimated salary range for this role is $81,500 - $130,500 annually. Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
