Agricultural Labourer

Bonnieheath Lavender Estates is seeking a highly motivated and physically fit Agricultural Labourer to join our team. This role will involve harvesting crops, maintaining and managing growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes, planting, cultivating and irrigating crops, as well as cutting horticultural crops.
About the Role:
- This is a seasonal position with estimated hours ranging from 30 to 100 hours per week.
- You will be working outdoors in various weather conditions and may be exposed to dusty, hot, noisy, cold/refrigerated environments.
- The ideal candidate will have experience with farm equipment such as tractors, combine harvesters and fruit harvesters.
- Additionally, you must be willing to work under pressure, handle heavy loads, and maintain attention to detail throughout your shift.
Responsibilities:
Crop Management- Maintain and manage growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes.
- Plant, cultivate and irrigate crops.
- Harvest crops at optimal times for maximum quality and yield.
- Operate farm equipment such as tractors, combine harvesters and fruit harvesters.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
- Grade vegetables and fruits into different grades according to size, shape, color and volume.
- Clean and prepare crops for market.
- Work in fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
- Be able to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, kneel, walk and engage in manual labor.
- Demonstrate hand-eye coordination and ability to distinguish between colors.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in agriculture or related field an asset.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a criminal record check and driving abstract check.

Compensation:
