About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Strategic Alliances Manager to join our team at QNX Software Systems. As a key member of our Product & Strategy team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a robust automotive ecosystem that complements our value proposition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit and Manage Key Partnerships: Identify, recruit, and manage key silicon and software partners to drive business capture and growth.
  • Grow and Develop Strategic Partnerships: Actively grow and manage key strategic ecosystem partner relationships to align roadmap, customer programs, and opportunities.
  • Drive Joint Initiatives: Engage internal and external stakeholders to drive joint go-to-market initiatives and PR across the ecosystem to amplify our key messaging.
  • Analyze Emerging Trends: Continuously analyze emerging market and technology trends to identify technology gaps in our product portfolio and recruit best-in-class technology suppliers to augment our ecosystem.
  • Negotiate Complex Agreements: Negotiate complex software licensing agreements to support our overall go-to-market requirements.
  • Engage with Cross-Functional Teams: Actively engage with Product Management, Engineering, Legal, Sales, Finance, and other groups to manage the ecosystem and participate in cross-functional initiatives as required.
  • Market Analysis and Business Development: Engage with external and internal stakeholders to perform market and customer needs analysis to develop market opportunity assessments and business model proposals to aid product roadmap investment decisions.
  • Value Proposition and Negotiation: Articulate and champion the value proposition for our products and services to customers and key external stakeholders, and lead business negotiations for all licensing and contracts related to the ecosystem accounts.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent technical degree or diploma program.
  • Recent automotive embedded software experience.
  • Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, ability to navigate complex situations, and manage conflict resolution with ecosystem partners.
  • Experience negotiating legal agreements.
  • Proven track record of forging and managing key relationships.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, technical marketing, or strategic alliances roles.
