About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Taxi Driver to join our team at AKB Motors LTD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and Maintain Vehicles: Ensure our fleet of taxis is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to our passengers, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout their journey.
  • Operate Vehicles Safely: Drive our taxis in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Manage Transactions: Accurately record and manage transactions, including fares and other revenue streams.
  • Assist Passengers with Special Needs: Provide assistance to passengers with special needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Provide Basic Tourist Information: Offer helpful information to passengers about local attractions and services.
  • Perform Vehicle Servicing: Take our vehicles for regular servicing to ensure they remain in good working condition.
Requirements
  • Commercial Vehicle Licence: Hold a valid Provincial or Territorial Commercial Vehicle licence (Class 4 or E).
  • 20/20 Vision: Possess excellent eyesight, with 20/20 vision in both eyes.
  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Demonstrate good hand-eye coordination and ability to distinguish between colours.
  • Physical Abilities: Be able to sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with passengers and colleagues.
  • Flexibility: Be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Work Environment
  • On-the-Road Job: Work in a fast-paced, on-the-road environment, interacting with passengers and colleagues regularly.
