Job Responsibilities

  1. Assist with bookkeeping, tax engagements, and government remittances/filings
  2. Prepare and maintain accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, and payroll transactions
  3. Set-up client files, assist with budget completion, and perform administrative planning
  4. Perform month-end and quarter-end close process, maintaining and reconciling GL accounts
  5. Identify issues, investigate discrepancies, and discuss with managers to develop resolutions
  6. Communicate with government regarding information requests and assessments
  7. Collaborate with client engagement team and maintain flexibility to travel as necessary

Requirements

  1. Accounting certificate or bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major is considered an asset)
  2. Entry-level to 2 years of relevant accounting experience
  3. Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Sage
  4. Basic accounting principles and processes are considered an asset
  5. Experience with accounting and tax software is considered an asset
