Island Health is seeking a dedicated physician to join our team in Port Alberni. This is an exciting opportunity to start a new practice or take over an existing patient panel from a retiring physician.
The clinic is located in a 3-level building, offering ample space for a new practitioner, as well as office and record storage space. The existing clinic is paper-based, with electronic billing, allowing you to choose your preferred EMR.
As a physician with Island Health, you may be eligible for additional remuneration through the Rural Subsidy Agreement (RSA), including:
- Recruitment Incentive = up to $10,000
- Relocation Costs Reimbursement – up to a maximum of $15,000
- Fee Premium – 7.98%
- Annual Flat Fee - $9,112
- Rural CME starting at $2,000/annum in years 3&4, then increasing to a maximum of $4,000 after 4 years in the community.
