Job Summary:

Adecco Canada is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Field Operator to join our client's oil and gas production team in Cold Lake, AB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily field operations, monitoring well sites, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational approvals for materials accepted at the facilities.
  • Perform Scala data entry, truck ticket tracking, and communicate with customers and transportation dispatch.
  • Monitor truck scales for accuracy and maintain facility-specific data, including waste approvals and tickets.
  • Maintain strong communication with field operators and develop customer relations.
  • Assist with equipment repair and maintenance, including energy isolation and work control.
  • Initiate work notifications to the maintenance group for safe operations.
  • Perform product sampling, testing for density, temperature, and BS&W.
  • Oversee truck unloading duties, ensuring compliance with operational standards.
  • Apply continuous improvement mindset to resolve operational issues safely and cost-effectively.
  • Provide technical support for planning, scheduling, and team training.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of tasks and update procedures as needed.
  • Assist in the development of site-specific procedures and THAs for safe operations.

Requirements:
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada.
  • Previous experience as Terminal or Pipeline Operator.
  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent education.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong time management and leadership abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or within a team.
  • Ability to work shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with the local community and support teams.
  • Accountable and results-oriented.
  • Must have a serviceable truck and valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Regular travel required between Cold Lake Terminal, Midpoint, and Lloydminster CPL, with potential travel between Cold Lake and Wainwright.
