Accounting Technician Job Description

Border Bean International Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Technician to join our team. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Payroll Processing: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including statistical and accounting reports.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: Experience in accounting or bookkeeping is an asset.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
  • Equipment and Machinery: Familiarity with scanners.
  • Transportation: Public transportation is not available.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, excellent oral and written communication, organized, reliable, team player, and time management skills.
