Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Member to join our team at Marriott International. As a Housekeeping Team Member, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our guest rooms and public areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to guest requests and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Restock and maintain housekeeping carts and supplies.
  • Enter guest rooms in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Replace guest amenities and supplies, including linens, towels, and toiletries.
  • Make beds and fold linens, ensuring that all areas are tidy and well-maintained.
  • Clean bathrooms, including sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs.
  • Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items from guest rooms.
  • Check that all appliances are present in the room and in working order.
  • Straighten desk items, furniture, and appliances.
  • Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings.
  • Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties in guest rooms and hallways.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
  • Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

  • No high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No related work experience required.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No license or certification required.
