Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team at ADESA/OPENLANE Canada. As a key member of our mechanical services team, you will be responsible for assisting with vehicle inspections, repairs, and maintenance, ensuring consistently high standards of technical efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre and post-sale inspections, including test drives
  • Perform general shop maintenance, including pulling up vehicles and test driving for diagnosis
  • Deliver general maintenance services, including oil and fluid changes, tire changes, and vehicle inspections
  • Provide frame inspection services, ensuring no cracks, bends, or damage exists
  • Assist with general repair services, including brake jobs, exhaust system jobs, and front end alignments
  • May assist with sourcing parts and providing quotes to customers
  • May assist with completing work orders, including parts and labor entries

Requirements:

  • Education or certification as an Automotive Service Technician
  • 1-3 years' experience in repair and service of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems and components on various vehicles
  • Position suitable for 2nd or 3rd year apprentice
  • Valid driver's abstract
  • Basic computer skills and ability to utilize a smartphone

Compensation:

Hourly: $31.00 (depending on experience, skill set, qualifications, and other relevant factors)
