Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Warman's Welding Ltd. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for interpreting welding process specifications and operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret welding process specifications to ensure accurate and efficient fabrication of metal parts and products.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut and shape metal.
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to prepare metal for welding.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using welding techniques such as shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), and gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW).
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

  • Work in a fast-paced fabrication environment with repetitive tasks and attention to detail required.
  • Stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects as required.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including steel-toed safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and welding helmet.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in metal fabrication or a related field.
  • Ability to interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced fabrication environment with repetitive tasks and attention to detail required.
