Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeping Specialist to join our team at Ontario Inc. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and reconciling accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Post journal entries
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Prepare trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Overtime required
  • Repetitive tasks

Working Conditions:

  • 30 hours per week
  • Permanent work term
  • English language required
