Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Clerk to join our team at The Village Inn-Elora. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position working 30 hours per week. You will be required to work independently and under pressure, with overtime as needed. In return, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Transactions: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, calculate fixed assets and depreciation, maintain general ledgers and financial statements, post journal entries, and reconcile accounts.
  • Reporting: Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports, including trial balance of books and tax returns.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a related field.
  • Skills: Ability to work independently, client focus, dependability, time management, and team player skills.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this role is $55,000-$60,000 CAD, depending on experience. Additional benefits include a comprehensive health and dental plan, paid vacation time, and opportunities for professional development.
