Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dance Instructor to join our team at YMCA Calgary. The successful candidate will have a strong background in dance education and a passion for teaching and mentoring individuals of all ages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver engaging dance programs for children, youth, and adults, focusing on technique, creativity, and fun.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curriculum that aligns with the YMCA's arts programming initiatives.
  • Ensure the health and safety of participants by adhering to health and safety practices and regulations.
  • Provide a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters creativity and self-expression.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, colleagues, and management to ensure a positive and productive experience.
Requirements
  • Associated degree(s) or diploma(s) in dance, teaching, or a related field.
  • Previous experience teaching dance or working in a related field.
  • Current Standard First Aid and AED certification.
  • Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
