Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Associate Director of Statistical Operations to join our winning team in Toronto/Markham, Ontario, Canada or remotely from a home-based office in Canada. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of statistical methodologies.
- Manage clinical trial programs/projects from one or multiple clients, providing technical and operational leadership to project teams.
- Coach, mentor, and develop direct subordinate Biostatisticians and Statistical Programmers, as well as indirect subordinates.
- Lead statistical and programming teams, interact with clients and internal project leaders to plan and implement project plans, and deliver quality results.
- Work closely with Directors, Senior Directors, and Executive Directors to manage clinical trial programs and projects.
- Provide day-to-day technical and operational guidance to project teams.
- Conduct semi-annual and annual performance reviews for direct subordinates, developing developmental plans where necessary.
- Ensure sound statistical methodologies in study design, sample size estimation, and data analysis.
- Participate in protocol design and development, contributing statistically informed ideas.
- Review and provide input on clinical data management deliverables, including eCRFs, data validation specifications, and Data Review Plans.
The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. degree in statistical science, mathematical analysis, or a related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, they may hold a Master's degree in these fields with at least 13 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated exceptional ability and performance are essential for this role.
