Job Title: Delivery Clerk

Work Setting
  • Rural Area: Our job requires working in rural areas where you will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations.
  • Library: You will also be working in our library, maintaining internal records and performing other duties as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain internal record-keeping system: Accurately record and update all necessary information in our database.
  • Route goods to appropriate storage areas: Ensure that all goods are stored in the correct locations to maintain efficiency and organization.
  • Pack goods to be shipped: Properly pack and prepare goods for transport to ensure safe and secure delivery.
  • Unpack goods received: Carefully unpack and inspect all received goods to ensure they are in good condition.
  • Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments: Clearly label and document all shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery.

Requirements
  • Education: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Computer and technology knowledge: Proficiency in database software, inventory control software, MS Word, and MS Windows is necessary.
  • Equipment and machinery experience: Experience with dollies and hand trucks is required.
  • Security and safety: A criminal record check and driving record check (abstract) are mandatory.
  • Transportation/travel information: A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle supplied by the employer are required.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: The ability to handle heavy loads, bend, crouch, and kneel is necessary.
  • Weight handling: The ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) is required.
