About the Job
As an Environmental Closure Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the responsible management of closed and inactive sites. You will work with our team to develop and implement closure plans, focusing on environmental stewardship and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support water treatment plant operations and conduct monitoring, sampling, and inspections
- Participate in Glencore's Tailings Management Academy for responsible tailings and waste management training
- Complete Capital Management Framework (CMF) Project Management Training for enhanced project planning and execution skills
- Collaborate with specialized mentors to gain insight into key closure disciplines

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Earth and Environmental Science
- Minimum 2 internships or 1 year of experience in environmental work and/or mining projects
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently
- Willingness and ability to travel within North America, including remote locations
