About the Role

The University of Moncton is seeking a motivated and engaged student to join the Financial Services team in the Department of Health to support inventory accounting activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records in the inventory management software (e.g., receiving goods, sales, returns, adjustments, price updates), preparing invoices and recording transactions in the accounting system, and performing monthly reconciliations (e.g., between the accounting software and the inventory management software).

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records in the inventory management software
  • Prepare and process invoices and transactions in the accounting system
  • Perform monthly reconciliations between the accounting software and the inventory management software
  • Assist with other financial services tasks as required

Requirements

  • Language proficiency: English or bilingual
  • Currently enrolled in a program in accounting or finance
  • Experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Working Conditions

  • 20 hours per week (flexible schedule)
  • Hybrid work arrangement (on-site and remote) after a one-month trial period
