Key Responsibilities for the Finance Professional

The Finance Professional will be hired on an interim full-time basis, with a strong likelihood of becoming a permanent hire. They will be responsible for overseeing financial systems and controls to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Functional Tasks:

  1. Review existing control environment, design and implement robust financial controls and processes;
  2. Support senior management in budgeting and forecasting;
  3. Introduce processes for accurate recognition of project revenue and costs;
  4. Work with external tax advisors to ensure all tax and statutory filings are completed on time;
  5. Approve all bank payments, ensuring purchase invoices and expenses have been approved;
  6. Deal with ad-hoc finance-related queries raised by employees;
  7. Manage cash flow.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Post-secondary education and accounting certification;
  2. 7-10 years of work experience in financial reporting, operational effectiveness, and efficiency;
  3. Experience in a SaaS company or technology services company is preferred;
  4. Proficiency in accounting applications and Microsoft Office functions.
