We are seeking a skilled Unit Assistant to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide basic supportive care and assist with patient care under the supervision of a Manager Health Services.
Responsibilities- Assist with patient care and provide basic supportive care as directed.
- Act as a member of the healthcare team and demonstrate a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the region/facility/unit.
- Previous patient care experience is preferred.
- Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course required.
- Excellent command of the English language (both oral and written).
- Ability to organize and prioritize assigned workload.
- Ability to recognize and pursue self-development opportunities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
The position involves extensive physical activity such as lifting, transferring and transporting patients and equipment.
