Opportunity Summary

We're seeking a Psychiatrist to join our team in Squamish, Whistler, and Pemberton. This is a unique opportunity to work in a beautiful and diverse region with a wide range of psychiatric conditions, including persistent and serious mental illness, mood and anxiety disorders, personality and substance use disorders. As a Psychiatrist with VCH, you'll have the chance to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, develop your skills and contribute to the well-being of our patients and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide consultative services to patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatric nurses, clinical counselors, occupational and vocational therapists, outreach workers and peer support workers
  • Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
Requirements

To be successful as a Psychiatrist with VCH, you must have:

  • A degree from an accredited medical school and completion of psychiatric residency training
  • CPR certification (Level C)
  • Current registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
  • Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (desired)
