Nurse Practitioner, Correctional Health Services Position

Nurse Practitioners play a vital role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients in correctional settings. As a Nurse Practitioner, Correctional Health Services, you will be responsible for assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing care. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide ongoing care and support to patients, including health education and counseling.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to nursing practice and patient care.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP).
- Minimum of 4 years of recent, relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
