Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, Supply Chain Systems (Canada), the Director of IT Service Delivery is responsible for the delivery and support of applications for the Canada Pharmaceutical Distribution Business. The Director will be responsible for leading the modernization of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system while effectively managing the existing legacy AS/400 landscape. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, deep technical expertise, and experience in managing large-scale IT projects. The Director of IT will collaborate with various departments to ensure the successful delivery of the project, aligning technology solutions with business objectives and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy for modernization and implementation of ERP (i.e. SAP, Blue Yonder) & Supply Chain technology landscape.

  • Influence projects roadmap to align with the organization strategic objectives

  • Lead team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Implement and maintain a robust Service Delivery Operating Model for ERP and supply chain solutions, ensuring clear accountability and alignment across all stages of service delivery.

  • Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) for service delivery, continuously improving processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions within the broader service ecosystem.

  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from planning to execution and post-implementation support.

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to schedules and financial constraints.

  • Anticipates and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies as needed.

  • Manage the project budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and optimizing resource allocation.

  • Track and report on financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities

  • Ensure the design and architecture of system meets business requirements, enterprise architecture and industry standards.

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on ERP modernization.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and efficiency.

  • Ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance in all IT deliverables.

  • Implement robust cybersecurity measures and data privacy practices per McKesson policies and requirements

  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team, promoting professional growth and skill development.

  • Build relationships to gain support; maintain positive relationships with key customers,

  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure project milestones are achieved.

  • Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging knowledge sharing and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent

  • Minimum of 10 years in Information technology

  • Proven experience in modernizing Legacy application

  • Proven experience in delivery of Large ERP solutions

  • Excellent written and verbal communications

  • Bilingualism (French and English written and spoken)

  • The incumbent of this position will provide daily support to internal and/or external clients outside Quebec and/or in the United States. Therefore, he/she must be proficient in spoken and written English. Please note that the number of positions requiring English language skills has been limited where possible

  • Coaching and mentoring

  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines

  • Good understanding of project and program management, its practices, techniques, and tools. 

  • Proven experience managing a team.
