Job Title: Regional Project Delivery Director

Job Summary:

WSP is seeking a highly experienced Regional Project Delivery Director to lead our efforts in creating a best-in-class Project Delivery capability across Latin America and the Caribbean. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering medium and large, multi-discipline, complex engineering and/or construction projects within a consulting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a shared approach to Project Delivery across the region, aligned with WSP's current best practices.
  • Lead a collaborative community of PD professionals from each of the country operations and drive them to success via a shared change programme.
  • Engage regularly with internal clients to ensure they understand the plan, status, next steps, and expected benefits.
  • Position WSP as the employer of choice for the best PD professionals in the professional services space.
  • Onboard, assess, coach, train, and mentor professionals to ensure we leverage the talent in the organization.
  • Reduce margin erosion and manage operational risks to deliver enhanced financial performance.
  • Organize and participate in project reviews to ensure projects follow the Project Delivery Framework.
  • Monitor and analyze project performance and support teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete information on project performance and the status of the Project Delivery Initiative is reported to internal stakeholders.
  • Analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), trends, and gaps across the region to assist with program/process improvements.

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Engineering, Planning, or equivalent.
  • Impeccable knowledge of the latest Project Management approaches, ideally PMP certified or equivalent.
  • Fluent Spanish and English language skills, with Portuguese being an advantage.
  • Legal right to live and work in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Panama, Peru, or Mexico.
  • Significant experience in delivering major projects in one of our key sectors.
  • Leadership skills to ensure all operations advance together.
  • Experience in affecting organizational change within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic, conceptual, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible, including the ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change.
  • Negotiation skills within a context of political sensitivity and managing conflicting interests.

Location: The position can be in any of our offices in Mexico, West Indies, Panama, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Chile, or Argentina.
