About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Pet Valu. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales associates and ensuring the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates
    • Provide coaching and feedback to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance
    • Manage store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure exceptional customer service and a positive shopping experience
    • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Merchandising and Inventory
    • Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies to drive sales and increase customer engagement
    • Manage inventory levels, including ordering and receiving stock
  • Financial Management
    • Manage store budgets and financial reports
    • Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
  • Store Appearance and Maintenance
    • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing
    • Manage store maintenance, including repairs and maintenance of equipment and fixtures
Requirements
  • Education
    • College diploma or equivalent experience
  • Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of retail management experience
  • Skills
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
