About the Role

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is seeking a skilled Anesthesia Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our surgical program, you will provide high-quality anesthetic care to patients undergoing surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist anesthesiologists in providing anesthetic care to patients
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes
  • Administer medications and perform various procedures as directed by anesthesiologists
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Registered Nurse with current Certificate of Competence or Registered Respiratory Therapist with relevant training and certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate within one year
  • Advanced Practice Skills, Arrhythmia Interpretation, and other relevant skills
