At Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, we are seeking a skilled Anesthesia Assistant to join our team. In this key role, you will provide expert perioperative care to patients undergoing surgery. Working closely with our anesthesiologists, you will be responsible for administering anesthetic care to stable surgical patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical and clinical assistance to anesthesiologists during surgeries
  • Assisting with inductions, block room procedures, and Acute Pain Service
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care

Requirements:

  • Completion of a post-graduate Anesthesia Assistant training program
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
