Job Summary

Vancouver Island University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Early Childhood Education Instructor to join our faculty. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our Early Childhood Education program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop curriculum for Early Childhood Education courses
  • Supervise and mentor students in the field of Early Childhood Education
  • Conduct research and publish scholarly work in the field of Early Childhood Education
  • Participate in departmental and faculty meetings
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in Early Childhood Education
  • Current membership in the Early Childhood Educators of British Columbia (ECEBC)
  • Strong commitment to teaching and student learning
  • Ability to work with diverse student populations
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Expertise in instruction at the post-secondary level
  • Proven research skills
