Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor at Alberta Health Services, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Ultrasound Department. This role involves providing leadership and vision to support the department's goals and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide department supervision, organizing and prioritizing workflows, monitoring and evaluating staff, and assigning daily work.
• Facilitate and ensure the completion of staff orientation, education, and training, including Annual Continuing Education (ACE) requirements.
• Monitor staff and department compliance with AHS standards and ensure high-quality patient care.
• Develops, monitors, and adjusts patient and staff schedules and workflow to ensure effective and efficient services of the highest quality are provided.

Requirements
• Completion of extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program or completion of certification in Diagnostic Sonography from an accredited program.
• Active or eligible for registration with Sonography Canada and/or Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic & Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) and/or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

Preferred Qualifications
• Five years of current U/S experience.
• Breast imaging experience an asset.
• Contrast Ultrasound experience an asset.
