Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our Maintenance team at Louisiana-Pacific Corporation. As a Millwright, you will play a critical role in maintaining, repairing, installing, assembling, and modifying equipment to ensure maximum uptime, quality, and production.

About the Role

  • Maintain, repair, install, assemble, and modify equipment to meet production requirements.
  • Lubricate machinery, replace seals, clean parts during overhauls, and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Read and create blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Enter work requests and order parts and materials using our CMMS system.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment as needed.
  • Complete, develop, and improve PMs in your area of responsibility.
  • Align machines and equipment.
  • Assemble machines.
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and piping.
  • Install, repair, and maintain airlines, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform welding, cutting, and fabricating tasks.
  • Maintain and monitor equipment using predictive and preventive techniques.
  • Train and mentor apprentices.
  • Actively participate in EHS programs.
  • Maintain housekeeping of assigned areas.
  • Participate in improvement projects.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' industrial experience.
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, climb, bend, stoop, squat, and lift.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated coordination and mechanical ability.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations.
  • Good problem-solving ability.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Will to take training courses for trade upgrading.

Education

  • Red Seal Industrial Mechanic/Millwright certification.
