Environmental, Chemical

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental, Chemical & Safety Technician/Technologist to join our team at Ontario Power Generation (OPG). This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment where you will contribute to the development and implementation of environmental and chemical safety programs.

• Provide technical expertise in the areas of chemical, environmental, and safety issues related to OPG facilities.
• Interpret environmental and health and safety legislation, chemical and waste management related to OPG operations.
• Develop and implement safe work plans and procedures.
• Perform mathematical calculations and upload system data accordingly.
• Prepare and maintain reports and records.

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2-years post-secondary study in a related field.
• 3-5 years of demonstrated hands-on experience as a Environmental, Chemical & Safety Technician/Technologist or similar role.
• Prior experience in industrial or hydro-electric workplaces preferred.
• Excellent communication skills required to work with both internal and external stakeholders and Government agencies.
• Well-versed in MS Office applications and advanced functionality including, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Must hold a valid G-class driver's license in good standing.
