Your Role at Secure Energy:


As our Field Service Operator, you will provide technical assistance and on-site services for all aspects of waste services, serving as a safety ambassador and an active contributing member of our Incident Response Team.

Work Environment:


This role entails a standard 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call duties. You may be required to work flexible shifts, extended hours, weekends, and travel as needed. Be prepared to work in various weather conditions and challenging environments.


A Day in the Life:



  • Attend safety meetings and follow our company's Occupational Health and Safety Program.
  • Participate in Daily Tailgates, complete FLHA's, and Hazard ID's.
  • Complete waste pickups using cube vans, pickup trucks, and equipment trailers.
  • Segregate, package, and transport hazardous wastes to our processing facility.
  • Prepare and submit appropriate manifests and paperwork for waste pick-ups.
  • Evaluate customer needs and communicate them to Sales Representatives or Project Coordinators.
  • Support Incident Response work and operate small equipment like forklifts and pumps.
  • Conduct field work, including manual labor at remote project sites when needed.

Technical Requirements:


You'll need:



  • A valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean abstract.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, shoveling, moving containers, and other heavy materials.
  • Capacity to learn about waste identification, transportation, and disposal regulations in accordance with Transport Canada and the Ministry of the Environment.
  • Ability to complete Government Manifests and Bills of Lading for waste transportation.
  • Availability to participate in our paid-on-call program.
  • Will to comply with Worksafe BC facial grooming standards for wearing full-face respirators during work shifts.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Good computer and mobile phone device skills, willingness to learn Secure's training and online applications.
